Monterey Bay Wildlife

The wildlife you will see on your tour may depend on the season. Orcas, dolphins and porpoises frolic in the area year-round. From December through May you can see gray whales, March to November is the season for humpback whales, and blue whales swim from August to October. You may also see sea birds, seals, sea lions, see otters and sea turtles!

Am I likely to become sea sick on the tour?

Some people become ill, while others don’t. If you are worried about it or have a past history of sea sickness, it’s a good idea to take anti-nausea medication a half-hour before the tour starts. Stay on the top deck, and try to keep your eyes on the horizon.

Are reservations required?

No, however if you would like to go whale watching during the high season (summer) or on the weekend, reservations are highly recommended, and you can make them online.
